Assignment: p. 227 #1acegi, 2acef, 3ac, 4
Students were also given a Properties of Logarithms Assignment to complete and hand in.
Today we went over 5.4 Solving Exponential and Logarithmic Equations. We used several techniques to approach questions with different layouts. It was noted that it was important to check logarithmic equations for extraneous roots.
Assignment: p. 227 #1acegi, 2acef, 3ac, 4 Students were also given a Properties of Logarithms Assignment to complete and hand in. Today we went over 5.3 Properties of Logarithms.
Assignment: p. 221 #(1-5) every other letter Students were also given an Introduction to Logarithmic Functions Assignment to complete and hand in. Today we finished our notes on 5.2 Logarithmic Functions by looking at graphing logarithmic functions.
Assignment: p. 211 #1-4, 5ac, 6, 7, 11-13 Today we went over 5.2 Introduction to Logarithms. We looked at the definition of a log, evaluated a few logarithms without a calculator, and graphed a logarithmic function.
Assignment: p. 211 #1-4, 5ac, 6, 7, 11-13 Today we finished our notes on 5.1 Exponential Functions by looking at applications of exponential problems (i.e. growth and decay models).
Assignment: p. 206 #9 Today we continued our study of 5.1 Exponential Functions by looking at graphing exponential functions using transformations.
Assignment: p. 204 #3-5, 6a, 8 Today we started 5.1 Exponential Functions by reviewing powers and the exponent laws.
Assignment: p. 203 #1, 2 Today students studied for their Ch. 4 Radical and Rational Functions Test, which will be written on Wednesday April 19. Section 4.5 Chapter Review was one source of practice questions.
Assignment: p. 192 #1-30 Today students did a Graphing Rational Functions Quiz. When done, students worked on a Radical and Rational Functions Review Assignment.
