Today students worked on an assignment covering function notation. No other assignment was given. Have a great spring break!
Today in class we went over 3.3 Linear Relations. We looked at how to recognize a linear relation, when is a linear relation also a linear function, and how to graph a line using Standard Form.
Assignment: p. 133 #1, 3 ac, 4 abfikl, 5 Today in class we went over 5.5 Function Notation. We introduced a new way to represent a function. We used this new notation we find the value of x and y using both algebra and graphing.
Assignment: p. 220 #2 a - d, 4 a - d, 6 a, 7, 11, 12 a, 15, 18 Today in class we went over 3.2 Functions. Students learned what a function is and how to recognize a function from a graph.
Assignment: p. 123 #1 - 3, 6 - 8, 10, 13, 14 Today in class we finished 3.1 Relations by talking about different ways to represent infinite sets of numbers. We looked at set notation, interval notation, using a number line, and using words. Students were given a Domain and Range Worksheet to complete.
Assignment: p. 116 #1 - 3, 7 a, 8, 10 Today in class we started 3.1 Relations. We reviewed the coordinate grid and plotting points. As well we discussed domain and range. We will finish this unit on Monday. No assignment was given.
Today students were given time to study for their Ch. 2 Polynomials Test. The test will be written tomorrow, Thur. Mar. 5.
