Assignment: p. 82 #(1 - 4, 6) eol
Group 2: Continue working on the 2 assignments handed out yesterday as well as completing the workbook questions.
Group 1: Students wrote their Ch. 1 Real Numbers Test today. Afterwards, students did assignments on Simplifying Polynomials and Multiplying Polynomials. Finally we went over 2.3 Factoring a Common Factor.
Assignment: p. 82 #(1 - 4, 6) eol Group 2: Continue working on the 2 assignments handed out yesterday as well as completing the workbook questions. Group 1: Students can either study for their Ch. 1 Real Numbers Test, which is being written tomorrow, or complete their 4 chapter 1 assignments, or finish off the chapter 2 homework.
Group 2: Students wrote their Ch. 1 Real Numbers Test today. Afterwards, students did assignments on Simplifying Polynomials and Multiplying Polynomials. Finally we went over 2.3 Factoring a Common Factor. Assignment: p. 82 #(1 - 4, 6) eol Today I would like both groups to finish off any undone assignments so that they can be handed in before they write their Ch. 1 Real Numbers Test on Tuesday for Group 2 and Wednesday for Group 1. Students can also work on the textbook assignment from section 2.1 Polynomials.
Group 2: In addition I would like Group 2 to read section 2.2 Multiplying Polynomials p. 71 - 75 in their workbook, then watch the video Multiplying a Polynomial by a Polynomial, and then complete an assignment from the workbook. Assignment: p.76 #(1 - 3) eol, 4 ab, 6 a, 7 a Group 1: Read 2.2 Multiplying Polynomials p. 71 - 75 and then watch the video Multiplying a Polynomial by a Polynomial. Do the following questions from your workbook.
Assignment: p.76 #(1 - 3) eol, 4 ab, 6 a, 7 a Group 2: Students were given the Simplifying Radicals Assignment to work on. We then went over the outline to the Ch. 1 Real Numbers Test. The Test will be written next week on Tuesday September 29. Assignment: 1.7 Chapter Review p. 58 #1 - 5, 8 - 11 Group 1: Students were given the Simplifying Radicals Assignment to work on. We then went over the outline to the Ch. 1 Real Numbers Test. The Test will be written next week on Wednesday September 30.
Assignment: 1.7 Chapter Review p. 58 #1 - 5, 8 - 11 Group 2: Work on any unfinished assignments. Group 1: Complete any assignments that you have not handed in yet. Once you are done all previously assigned work, print off the Simplifying Radicals Assignment and complete.
Group 2: Today students did a Square Roots Assignment. Afterwards we reviewed the Exponent Laws and students did an Exponent Laws Assignment. Finally we went over 1.6 Irrational Numbers and students learned how to represent non perfect square square roots as exact values. Assignment: p.52 #1 ac, 2 ac, 3 ace, 4 ace, 5 a, 6 a, 8 ac, 9 ac, 10 ac, 11, 13 Group 1: Today students did a Square Roots Assignment. If students are up to date with all their work, they can read section 1.6 Irrational Numbers p. 50 - 51 in their text. Group 1: Today students can catch up on any work that they have not done so far.
Group 2: Today I would like students to watch the videos Rational Exponents Part 1, Rational Exponents Part 2, and Combined Exponent Laws linked on my website. If students want to watch the other exponent law videos on my site to refresh their memories that might be beneficial. The exponent laws are summarized in the text on page 41 for a convenient reference.
