Assignment: p. 104 #1, (2-6)eol, 7-9, 10a-f, 11
Today in class we did more examples from 5.1 Equation of a Line.
Assignment: p. 104 #1, (2-6)eol, 7-9, 10a-f, 11 Today in class we covered 5.1 Equations of Lines. We looked at several variations of a linear equation - General Form, Standard Form, Slope y-Intercept Form, and Point Slope Form. We reviewed how to convert from one form to another and how to graph a line.
Assignment: p. 194 #1, (2-6)eol, 7-9, 10a-f, 11 Today in class we reviewed concepts for the Ch. 3 Relations Test which will be written tomorrow. This test also covers section 4.1 Slope and 4.2 Rate of Change.
Assignment: 3.6 p. 148 #1-9, 10bd 4.6 p. 188 #1-5 Today in class we covered 4.2 Rate of Change. We noted that rate of change is calculated the same as the slope.
Assignment: #(1-4)eol,(5-19)odds The Chapter 3 Relations Test will be written next Tuesday Oct. 29 and it will include sections 4.1 Slope and 4.2 Rate of Change. Today in class we introduced 4.1 The Slope (of a line). We calculated the slope using two methods: the graph and finding the rise and run or using two points and a formula. Students should be able to use both methods.
Assignment: #1-3,(4-6)eol,10 Today in class we covered 3.4 Graphing Non Linear Equations. We used a table of values to find several points which we then joined in a smooth curve. We also analyzed the graph to determine if the relation was a function and what the domain and range were.
Assignment: #1eol Today in class we covered 3.3 Linear Relations. We looked at we can recognize an equation as linear or not and how to graph a linear equation using a table of values.
Assignment: #3ab,4abghkl Today in class we jumped ahead a few units to do 5.5 Function Notation. We introduced a new way to represent a function.
Assignment: #(1-4)eol Students also did a Relations Quiz. |
