Today students wrote their Final Exam.
Congratulations on completing Pre-Calculus 11! Reminder that tomorrow you will be writing your Numeracy Exam. Please arrive to class at 12:00 instead of 12:15. Students were given this class to prepare for their Final Exam. The Final Exam is being written tomorrow, Wed. Jan. 27.
On Thursday students will be writing their Numeracy Test. Please come to class at 12:00 so that we can get you signed in. Today in class students wrote their Ch. 7 Trigonometry Test.
Students will have all class tomorrow to study for their Final Exam. The Final Exam is being written on Wed. Jan. 27. On Thur. Jan. 28 students will be writing their Numeracy Exam. Students need to arrive to class by 12:00 so they can be signed in and start writing their test by 12:15. Today we went over the Ch. 7 Trigonometry Test Outline. The test is being written on Mon. Jan. 25. Students then worked on 7.7 Chapter Review questions.
Assignment: p. 307 #1 abcd, 2 ace, 3, 4 ac, 6 abc, 7, 9 Next week students also have their Final Exam on Wed. Jan. 27 starting at 12:15 and their Numeracy Exam on Thur. Jan. 28 starting at 12:00. Note the slightly earlier start time. This is to allow students time to sign in to the Numeracy website. Today we continued with sections 7.5 Law of Sines and 7.6 Law of Cosines by looking at solving triangles. We determined how to know which formula to start the question with and under what conditions do we expect to have no solution or 2 solutions (known as the Ambiguous Case). Students were given a Solving Triangles Quiz as well as a workbook assignment.
Assignment: p. 302 #2, 4 - 6, 8 Today in class we went over 7.5 Law of Sines and 7.6 Law of Cosines. We focused on using the formulas to find either a side or an angle. Students were given a worksheet on each of Law of Sines and Law of Cosines. We went over the answers to these worksheets in class.
Today in class we went over 7.2 Primary Trig Ratios in Standard Position and 7.3 Exact Values of Special Angles. Students were given an Angles in Standard Position Quiz and a Special Angles Quiz as well as a workbook assignment.
Assignment: p. 266 #(1, 2) eol, 3 acegi, 5 eol, 6 abc p. 278 # 1 abc, 2 abc, (3 - 5) eol Today in class we introduced 7.1 Angles in Standard Position. Students learned a new way of representing angles.
Assignment: p. 257 #(1, 2) eol, 3 ab, 6 a, 7 ac, 8 eol, 9 abceg, 10 a In the second half of class students wrote their Ch. 6 Rational Expressions Test. Today in class we went over the Ch. 6 Rational Expressions Test Outline. Students then worked on their hand in assignments or 6.8 Chapter Review questions. The Ch. 6 Test is being written on Mon. Jan. 18.
