Assignment: p. 196 #1-3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12
3.6 Reciprocal Functions. Today we looked at graphing reciprocal functions by using a reference function. We discussed asymptotes and restrictions.
Assignment: p. 196 #1-3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 3.5 Modelling Problems Using Polynomials. We went over more examples of solving problems by using a polynomial equation.
Assignment: p185 #1-4, 6, 9 We started by going over any homework questions and then we did a Quiz on sections 3.1-3.4.
3.5 Modelling Real Situations. Assignment: p.185 #1-4, 6, 9 We started today's class by doing a practice question graphing a polynomial and finding its intercepts, maximums, minimums, domain and range.
3.3 Relating Polynomial Functions and Equations. We discussed the concept that the factor of a polynomial is related to the root (x-intercept) of the graph. Assignment: p. 173 #1-3, 5-8, 10-14 sample of each question 3.2 Graphing Polynomial Functions. Today we looked at graphing polynomials by identifying the y-intercept, the roots, and the maximum and minimum points.
Assignment: p. 160 #1,2,5 and p. 166 #2 3.1 Polynomials. We spent the class discussing how to distinguish a polynomial function by looking at its equation or by looking at its graph. No questions were assigned.
Today we went over the answers to the Chapter 2 Review Assignment. Chapter 2 Test on Wednesday.
