Students were given a review block to prepare and ask questions for the Trigonometry Test Monday. Assignment: p. 155-157 #1-4, 6-10 3.7 Review
Students did a quiz on solving triangles using the Law of Sines and/or the Law of Cosines. The rest of the class was review for the Ch. 3 Test Monday. Assignment: p.155-157 #1-4odd, 6-9odd, 10 3.6 Law of Cosines
Today we did examples of using the Law of Cosines to solve for a side or an angle in a triangle. The Unit Test will be on Monday. Assignment: p. 150-154 #2af, 3af, 4, 6af, 7aj, 8aej, 9 3.5 Law of Sines
Today we had a quiz of exact values of trigonometry functions. We then did examples of the ambiguous case using the law of sines to solve a triangle. Assignment: p. 142-145 #1, 2-5ol, 6ajor 3.5 Law of Sines
Today we reviewed the previous material from before spring break. Tomorrow we will have a quiz. As well, we started covering the Law of Sines. We did examples of how to solve for an angle or side using the formula for the Law of Sines. Assignment: p. 146 #7-10 3.3 Exact Values for the Primary Trig Ratios
Today students did a quiz on Angles in Standard Position. Next we covered the process of determining exact values for the trig ratios for angles whose reference angle is 0, 30, 45, 60, or 90 degrees. Assignment: p. 126 #1agm, 2agl, 3ghl, 4ael, 5ach, 6aei, 9 It is also recommended that students do a few questions from section 3.4 as we will not be covering this section in class. 3.2 Primary Trig Ratios
Today we developed new formulas for the primary trig ratios using angles in standard position. We used these formulas for angles in all 4 quadrants. Assignment: p. 114 #1afh, 2adf, 3akr, 4aeh, 5aej, 6aegj, 7a, 8c 3.1 Angles in Standard Position
Today we introduced the concept of drawing angles in standard position. We went over the vocabulary associated with this concept and developed a formula for r, the radius, using the values of x and y. Assignment: p. 105 #1afgj, 2af, 3ajm, 4aeh, 5ahj, 6c, 7ad, 8aj, 9aceh, 10a Students wrote the Ch. 2 Test on Rational Expressions. The word problem assignment is due Monday.
