Assignment: p. 254 #2, 3acegi, 4, 5, 6ace, 7aceg
Today we went over 7.1 Linear Inequalities. We looked at representing infinite sets of numbers as number lines, in set notation, and in interval notation. We also looked at math notation for combining sets.
Assignment: p. 254 #2, 3acegi, 4, 5, 6ace, 7aceg Today we went over 6.4 Quadratic Quadratic Systems. We used both elimination and substitution to solve our systems.
Assignment: p. 243 #2aeim, 3a Students then wrote a Solving Systems Algebraically Quiz. Today we went over 6.3 Solving Linear Quadratic Systems Algebraically. We used either the elimination or substitution strategy to solve a system involving one line and one parabola.
Assignment: p. 236 #1aeimg, 2, 4 Students also wrote a Solving Systems Graphically Quiz. Today we went over 6.2 Solving Linear Quadratic Systems by Graphing. We discussed how many solutions are possible in these systems. We reviewed graphing parabolas from standard and general form.
Assignment: p. 231 #1ab, 2a, 3adfg Today we went over 6.1 Solving Linear Systems. We reviewed how to check whether a point is a solution to a system and the three methods for solving systems.
Assignment: p. 226 #1abd, 2abe, 3acd Today students worked on 5.6 Chapter Review. The Ch. 5 Quadratic Equations Test is being written tomorrow, Wed. Nov. 23.
Assignment: p. 219 #1-3, 5, 6, 8-13 Today students wrote an Applications of Quadratic Equations Quiz. When done, students worked on a Quadratic Equations Review Assignment.
Today we continued with more examples from 5.5 Applications of Quadratic Equations.
