I would like to remind students that starting Monday you are attending class 5 days a week instead of 2 days a week. See you Monday. Group 1: Work on any unfinished questions from chapter 2 in the workbook and the Factoring Assignment. We will go over the answers to the Factoring Assignment together at the beginning of class on Monday.
Group 2: Today in class we finished 2.5 Factoring ax^2 + bx + c by doing the method of decomposition. Assignment: p. 98 #(1 - 3) eol In the second half of class we finished our study of factoring by doing 2.6 Special Factors. This section covered the special cases of factoring called the difference of squares and perfect square trinomials. Assignment: p. 103 #5 a - l, 6 a - f, 7 a - h Students were also given a Factoring Flow Chart to add to their notes and a Mixed Factoring Assignment.
