Assignment: p. 228 #1 - 17
In the second half of class we went over 6.1 Solving Linear Systems by Graphing. Students saw that the solution was the point of intersection of the lines.
Assignment: p. 235 #1, 2, 4 a, 5, 6 a - f
Today in class we spent the first half reviewing for the Ch. 5 Linear Relations Test. Students worked on questions from 5.6 Chapter Review.
Assignment: p. 228 #1 - 17 In the second half of class we went over 6.1 Solving Linear Systems by Graphing. Students saw that the solution was the point of intersection of the lines. Assignment: p. 235 #1, 2, 4 a, 5, 6 a - f Today in class we went over 5.4 Linear Modelling. This is a method for solving problems using linear equations.
Assignment: p. 215 #1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, 15 Students were also given a Linear Modelling Worksheet. In the second half of class we went over the Ch. 5 Linear Relations Test outline. Students then worked on 5.6 Chapter Review. Assignment: p. 228 #1 - 17 Today in class we spent the first block reviewing material from chapters 4 and 5. We also did a Linear Functions Menu Task.
In the second half of class we went over 5.3 Equations of Parallel and Perpendicular Lines. Assignment: p. 208 #1 acegi, 2 acegi, 3 acegi, 4 a, 5 a, 6, 10 Today in class we went over 5.2 Special Cases of Linear Relations. We looked at equations of horizontal and vertical lines as well as determining whether two lines were parallel, perpendicular, or neither.
Assignment: p. 202 #1, 3, 4 ac, 5 ac, 6 aceg, 7 ace Have a great Spring Break! Today in class we went over 5.1 Different Forms of a Linear Relation. We looked at the properties of each form and how to convert between the different forms. We then used them to find the equation of a line given different characteristics of the graph.
Assignment: p. 194 #1, 2 abc, 3 abc, (4 - 6) ace, 7, 8, 9 ace, 10 aceg, 11 ace Today in class we covered 4.4 Parallel and Perpendicular Lines and 4.5 Applications of Linear Relations.
Assignment: p. 181 #1 a - f, 3 a - d, 6, 10 p. 185 #1, 2, 5, 6 Students were also given a Graphing Linear Relations Worksheet. Today in class we went over 4.3 Graphing Linear Relations. We looked at graphing using Standard Form and Slope Intercept Form. We also looked at equations that needed to be converted to the proper form before graphing.
Assignment: p. 171 #1 abcdikmo, 2 abcdgh, 3, 4 bdfh Today in class we went over 4.1 Slopes. We learned two ways to calculate the slope of a line. Students were given a Slopes Worksheet as well as a workbook assignment.
Assignment: p. 156 #1 - 4, 5 acegi In the second half of class we went over 4.2 Rates of Change. This is very similar to slopes but is more of an application concept. Students were given a Rates of Change Worksheet plus a workbook assignment. Assignment: p. 163 #2 - 6, 15 Today in class we covered the last section of chapter 3, 3.4 Non-Linear Relations. We looked at graphing relations using a table of values. Students were given a Graphing Relations Worksheet.
In the second half of class we went over the Ch. 3 Relations Test Outline. Students then worked on the Ch. 3 Practice Test that they received yesterday. The Ch. 3 Relations Test is being written tomorrow. |
